I daydream about design... a pretty picture, a lovely event, or
2020 marks my 10th year owning David Marks Studio practicing freelance graphic design. Over the past 10 years, I have had a chance to work on so many fun projects with great clients. Below is a little about my process when working with a client.
When we get started, I’ll ask a lot of QUESTIONS. You may not have all the answers. That’s alright. This is like brainstorming your project. Hopefully, the questions will provoke more conversation and a deeper dive into what you are hoping to have as part of your final product.
It’s important that we have FUN completing your project. I spend many hours working and I have to have fun while doing so!
I will look for INSPIRATION for your project. Keeping up to date on the trends is important. I will draw from those ideas to create fresh, modern design.
FEEDBACK is the backbone to every project. I have thick skin and want to hear what you have to say regarding your design project.
While working on your project I want to make sure you have a great EXPERIENCE. Life is about experiences and I want this one to be one you remember.
Finally, my #1 goal is to make sure you are HAPPY with your final product.
Business design is where I started my design career. My first few jobs were creating web sites for spas. Since then I have done many other projects including logos, illustration, business collateral and branding, in-store signage, marketing materials and more.
Not-for-profits are one of my favorite clients. They are so passionate about their cause. I share that same passion for telling their story in design. The work I have done includes branding, brochures, post cards, and rack cards, just to name a few.
Need an invitation for a special event? I have done many invitations for weddings, showers, parties, fundraisers... the list goes on. I love to use the invitation as a vehicle to set the tone for the celebration, both in color and theme.
